    Default Abec 11 gumballs

I was thinking about getting these as an all around wheel. I mostly cruise but do a little dh and am learning how to slide. Would these wheels be a good choice?

i have these wheels but i havent had a chance to ride them yet since my deck hasnt come. however, ive seen a million youtube videos of gumballs being used for literally EVERYTHING. dh/carving/cruising/sliding. it looks like they can do it all. just search for hem on youtube and youll see what i mean.

I have a set of 75a gumballs, I love them, they're nice and soft but don't feel slow, they have really nice grip even after ive broken them in and rounded off the lips. Gloves down i slide them fun, a bit unpredictable and the hookups a bit sudden, stand ups are pretty shifty too, I'm not much of a slider so that'd be part of it but it just feels sketchy as hell when i lose traction without a hand down. A harder duro like 81a would solve that though, even 78a would be better, yet still be grippy and soft enough to take on raggedy roads. So yeah, get the gumballs.

I've had my gumballs for about 2 years now and I've loved every millimeter of them.

i rode on gumballs for a long time. really enjoyed them considering the fact that my neighborhood streets are really bumpy and rough. so it gave a smooth ride.

i sold the complete deck to my buddy and he slapped some durians on the board. obviously made a huge difference.

gumballs are a nice all around board because they were also broken in when i sold it to my friend. a great all around wheel.

One of the greatest wheels ever produced. Nothing like a BigZig or zigzag. Gumballs are unique in there own shape and thane. Anyone who has skated in the last 3 years should have owned a set. 2 years ago they were the rage, anyone remember the pink gumball? That wheel chunked major, when sliding. Anyway I really like the retro wheels, they will always be my first choice. (FYI, EW Obombers, are great wheel that I've tried out recently)

I was thinking of putting (pink zz 78a) on the back for grip and (green zz 80a) on the front for speed. Does that sound like a good idea. Or just keep it green???

84a. Plenty of grip with the option of free-riding. They're also lasting longer than my friends 78a Gumballs and we ride the same hills the same way.

I would go with the lime zigzags. You will have all the grip you need, and they will last a lot longer. Your slides will be smoother and easier.

Also, I own plenty of pink wheels and nobody cares. They turn black anyways.

Thumbs up Re: Abec 11 gumballs

I use Retros' pink 7o's on a Vanguard with Holeys and pink (holey) bushings, and the color pink is'nt an issue when skating around my crew. Pink is a good color for somethings in life, longboarding is one of em. Even though green will always look good, go with what you want and don't look back on it.

This is for DH no sliding... alittle drifting but not to much. I need alittle more grip at the back because sometimes the board drifts around corners when i dont want it to.
I want it to be a nice controled drift.

No, that's not too much pink IMO, but contrast is more "eye catching" I would mix those pink hangers with black base plates. I'm running green randal hangers with pink base plates on a Comet FSM. As long as your skating and giving it a 100% any color will look good.
