    Default Bigzigs or Zigzags?

for cruising, intense carving, pumping and only a bit of sliding. they will potentially go on an original custom 35. is there any chance of wheelbite with the bigzigs (ive heard maybe and no)?

i was thinking te pink 77a's for either wheel since ive heard originals slide out very easily. i was also considering red 78a's or lime 80a's, but im afraid the limes will slie too easily. suggestions?

big zigs are more grippy and will more likely be used for dh; i believe there's already a thread on this topic ...

so based on that thread, bigzigs are more oriented for dh and the zigzags are better for technical riding. the only thing is i dont know how "technical" my riding will be to justify the smaller wheels. do you think it would make that big of a difference? ill be mostly in the city so having a bigger wheel would be nice.

    any suggestions on the duro?

well my buddy actually has a setup with some lemon zigs. i believe the duro is 83a. and he drifts/slides/etc.

i have the limes and they are 80a. they have a sense of grippiness, but once broken in, they easily drift.

i guess the only thing you would need to consider is if your board can accommodate for a 75mm wheel (if you want the big zigs)

for that board 70mm pink zigzags will work very very well. Limes would work good too and slide better without as big of a risk of chunking. Zigzags will also require less work to push them up to speed.

true, but i figured bigzigs will maintain their speed longer. and the pinks will chunk the easiest? what do you think of the reds? im not even sure if they make the bigzigs in red

EDIT: i guess the simplest question is: is there any reason NOT to get the bigzigs?

only reason why? like i said, if your board can't accomodate for the size, then get the zigzags.

im gonna go with the zigzags. sorry for all the questions, but should i go with the pinks or the limes? do you think the limes would slide out too easily on an original?

EDIT: so apparently original doesnt offer lime zigzags, only bigzigs. so should i go with pink 77a or ed 78a??

well either way the wheels are going to end up sliding. cause the pinks will get broken in. id go with the limes. there pretty grippy. you may end up liking to slide as well.

yeah i'd say bigzigs for sure. They will hold their momentum much longer and won't chunk and a quick pace.

original doesnt offer limes in the zigzags. i was thinking i would go with the red 78a's instead of the pink 77a's to reduce chane of chunking. im a little skeptical of geting bigzigs because of the possibility of wheelbite. sound good?

sounds good. But with the wheelbite, are you running a top-mounted board?

Because if you aren't, you shouldn't have any wheelbite.

well just get the zigzags and get a feel for them and if you figure out later you can fit the bigzigs then go for it. But it would be really disappointing if you got them right now and they gave you horrible wheelbite.

I'm sure those are nice on it man. But i'd use the bigzigs even for carving but we can't say same for him since he has a top mounted board.

The zigzags would be your best bet man if you want an all-around good setup.

If you feel they aren't what you wanted, then get some bigzigs.

Holy balls... Big zigs are suck at pumping. I mainly LDP and am trying out a pair of BZ's on my Vanguard. Compared to the 4Prez's i was riding on before, these are like carrying lead. i was hoping the rebound of a bigger wheel might counteract the slower acceleration compared to a smaller wheel size, but its such a pain in the ass. Big Zigs = suck pump.

There are probably wheels with better rebound, but I love my pink bigzigs. Once you start sliding them they're kind of average, but if you never slide them they will hold on to the ground like it's nobody's business. Personally I love em.

Also, I don't know if the site is coded well for every board but I'm pretty sure they don't let you buy wheels from their drop down that you can't fit on your board.
