The consequences of letting your unexperienced fat friend ride your board.
I have no idea how he managed to do this, but we had rolling sepperation of wheel from truck. What I THINK happened was when he was sitting on the board, i think he was rocking it on its sides putting more presure on the alerady beat to #### bearings it had on it, because as soon as he stood up is when it started acting up.
Half a mile later, this happened.

Looks like a bearing siezed or something along those lines. Check the inside of the wheel, it might have melted a bit.
Probably poor bearing maintenance fault and not your friends.

No, I bet you could slap a little WD-40 on that there, and some bondo, and it should be good as new.

Re: The consequences of letting your unexperienced fat friend ride your board.
I don't think an inexperienced rider, no matter how much they weigh, is good enough to thrash a board hard enough to apply enough force to break stuff like that. In fact, they usually go slowly, in a wobbly straight line, and take wide, unconfident turns. So basically what I'm saying is that it's probably your fault for having rusty, prone-to-seize bearings.

That was the original reason I let him ride it, to see him fall. But surprisingly he knew how to ride.
Instead, another kid that recently started longboarding butt boarded down a hill and tried to stop with his feet, board shot out and he has road rash on his ass now.
lolz ensued.

Re: The consequences of letting your unexperienced fat friend ride your board.
The board in the picture wasn't originally mine, and technically still isn't. Basically I borrowed it from a kid who ended up owing me money, so we agreed i'd keep it until he paid me back. 2 months later he still hasn't made an attempt so...
Can't beat a hybrid for 10 dollars. However it was not taken care of, and was weathered a bit durring the spring time, but no warps, no pressure cracks, and is in over all good condition minus the wheels/ bearings/ hardware.
