DBS 7 Vs. Bones Reds
I'm new to longboarding and I just got my first board. I ordered DBS (Daddies Board Shop) Abec 7 bearings with my board, but I have a set of Bones Reds in my skateboard that I got a little before i stopped skating and didn't really ride them that much. I was wondering if the Bones are better bearings than the DBS abec 7s and if I should clean the Bones and put them on my longboard.

Bone reds are better, yes, but I've ridden the DBS 7 alot, and they work great too. You'll have to clean the reds more often, but tehy perform better.

The only thing Reds perform better in is marketing.
Good point, yes, but my reds have held up much better with downhill and the added friction. They also seem smoother.
No complaints about the DBS.

What added friction in downhill? If you mean speed, it's a non issue. Even $5. 608 bearings are rated to be good for at least 34,000 rotations per minute. You don't generate nearly that much during any type of skating! Smoother? You wouldn't even be able to feel it. The only thing that can make a ride smoother is wheels. That's a fact.
I like Reds, and have bought many sets. But, they are no better than most $5. bearings. In fact, there are cheaper bearings with better features that actually make a difference, such as inner ring steps to keep out dirt.
To the OP, use the DBS bearings, they are new and clean, and that is the most important thing.

You may be right (probably are, lol) but i noticed a difference when switching them on the same setup, but there could have been other underlying factors.

Re: DBS 7 Vs. Bones Reds
I have bone reds. I have DBS bearings. My reds spin faster/longer and are quieter.
i like bone reds and would say they preform better. I still love DBS bearings, cheap and preform well, but i would rather pay 10 dollars more for reds.

Because I have never seen a man can stand slide smoothly in slowly speed without Orangatang.
