Default Decide what bearings I get.

I don't really care about bearings that much (as long as they don't need to be cleaned everyw eek or are sluggishly slow)...but i just decided to let SF choose for me. (it's coming with a new complete)

    so vote away.

edit: i should add in case, please do not vote if you have not tried the bearing you are voting for. thanksh.

MHS bearings... The seals on those babies will keep them clean for quite some time. I didnt clean mine for a good 3 months, and they were still rolling fast and smooth. cheap as hell too.

Most of those have average--at best--seals. Biltins require a LOT of maintenance because the shields allow easy ingress of crud.

thanks, but unfortunately they don't offer MHS bearings at Stoked. If they did, i would get them in an instant, trust me.

If you can get Mini-Logos, I'd opt for those over Reds. Why? The tolerances seem better, and the additional shield will help keep crap out.

I actually already have some minilogos...they need some cleaning though....will do that soon.

    Now the question is.

Which bearings requires more cleaning/maintenance: Reds or Biltins

I'v, been using reds for years. The seals aren't good and they leak teflan oil (my personal favorite and highly preferred lubricant) like a sift. For the price and performance, picture them as expendable, reliable, and easy to maintain. Just make sure you take care of them.

    ??

If you had to make decisions by cost I would understand, but you have every bearing on a skate retail site inventory.

Why do you have to buy from Stoked?

The Khiro Nitro's are a very good bearing but if you are using them to just do pendy slides or such...get something else.

If you can buy from another shop, may I suggest the Mile High Skates bearings. Mark at Mile High has taken great lengths to evaulate MANY bearings over several years. Dollar for dollar you will be hard pressed to find a better value.

Remember too, everyone has a favorite bearing and they will tell you why they have a favorite bearing and this thread could go on for years. I have about 8 different brands of bearings and of different qualities. You will find that out for yourself if you try and swap enough bearing sets out.

    Good luck

I stated above, but I am already getting MHS bearings seperately...this isn't a huge deal and i'm not trying to make it such; just letting the community decide for me...

I would get MHS bearings any day over these for the price and from the amazing reviews i've read from them.

I buy from Stoked because 1.) I support them (same for MHS/longboardskater/etc.) 2.) they have what i'm looking for atm, at an amazing price and 3.) they have really awesome custom options for their completes.

And the bearings i listed are at a certain price range/the choices i'm given

    Thanks for your input

edit: Gpymp, i thought about what you said, and you're right. i'm gonna shoot Dave an email, i'm sure he could hook me up. thanks mate.

double edit: just checked Stoked for more bearings...basically all the bearings (within my certain price range ) were the ones i listed.

at least i'll have my MHS bearings later!

Biltins have shields. If you hold them up to the light you can see daylight between the inner race and the shield. They require frequent cleaning if you want them to last. This is precisely why I offer a version with MHS rubber seals.

Rawr i'm going to get the biltins then if I get the MHS bearings (I won them off a bet with my sister hahaha; not sure if she's going to follow through...she better...).

If not I guess i'll just go with the reds or clean up my mini logos or something.
