    Default Tri-Flo in bearings?

My dad, thinking he knows everything about everything insisted that i spray Tri-Flo Into my bearings, and being synthetic and not oily it shouldn't collect dirt (like WD-40).
However the nut holding the wheels on (which got spray on it too) became caked in dust.

Does anybody know if tri-flo is good or bad for the bearings?

I've heard it mentioned before. Don't use WD-40 though...sometimes father knows best.

...And am I the only one who thinks it weird that 'new' companies use the 'old' bolt pattern?

    Ha pwnd by Dad!!!

Tri-Flo is one of the best lubes for skate bearings.

WD-40 on the other hand is the devil. it will dissolves your lube, and the mild lube it has in it just isn't good for skating. You wind up running your bearings dry. As in metal on metal.

Now go give Dad a pat on the back and admit he does actually know his sh!t. =D

    tri-flo good
You don't just spray the lube in your bearing
You must remove them & do a proper cleaning regime

I use Tri Flow, but the spray doesn't stick as well
as the stuff in the bottle you squeeze out..
Phil Wood Tenacious Oil is some best stuff I used yet though,
you can get it at most bike shops, it's amazing!

Curious. I use Tri-Flo for my mountain bike. Is Tri-Flo better than Bones Speed Cream? I have I really been using an inferior product all this time when I had something better in hands reach?

tri flo is good, you need to wipe off the excess to prevent dust from accumulating. All oils will attract some dust though.

I use the phil wood grease, but never saw oil of that brand.

Will do, i just gotta spray a bit more into one of them which is making a very gritty noise, or just get a new set of bearings.
