    Default Storing your wheels?

Is there any thing that is advised when storing wheels? I just bought a set of orangatang 4 pres that I don't plan on using for a while and was wondering if there were any restrictions or tips to keep them in perfect shape..

    Give me your granny tips.

I don't think either but maybe there are some ideal conditions to keep them in so they remain perfect..I'm asking, maybe you don't need to do anything.

I've got 30 year old wheels that are still pretty good shape. I'd say put them in the closet and they'll be there when you are ready to ride them.
Skate 'em if you got 'em,

its a reasonable question, and the answer is: don't leave outside and they should last until the next ice age.

(Don't quote me on that, I, in no way, take responsibility for your wheels lasting to the next ice age [/disclaimer])

Put some thread through and make necklaces with your wheels and just wear them around. It looks awesome.

All you really need to do is keep them out of the light, even then it's not going to have much effect untill a few years have passed.

    Wheel storage?

They last a long time - I have wheels older than you
Most live in old Vans boxes & seem to like it.

Even the ancient crappy ones which rattle around my garage, getting covered in dirt & oil, seem to scrub up OK.

The biggest killer for wheels is riding them a lot.
    But that's unavoidable.

Personal responsibility for one's choices is dead and buried, even in something as simple as a plank with four wheels.

    pete..Having a board doesn't make you a longboarder-riding it does.

You can deep fry them with vegetable oil if you want. I suggest freezing them before you drop them in. Also, be sure to wear the Conquistador helmet. Spain might me coming back for seconds... Might as well blend in with the trees for the 80's. Have you seen my mind?

Yeah, as long as they are out of the sun and extreme climates, you should be good to go.

I have a friend who plastic wraps his wheels and puts an arrow on them so he can rotate them. That seems to keep them in good shape.
