Re: Recalled Orangatang Wheels
I had a set of purple inheats and i was skating a long path. I did a slide, looked down and my wheel was just about off. Had to walk back.. it sucked.. thank god i wasnt goin too fast. You can switch them for any of the O-tang wheels. I got some durians.. they are sweet. They said the third party company that was making the cores was using the correct plastic, but not forming it under enough pressure; so the cores were not as strong as they were supposed to be. They said they corrected the problem.
Here is the pic of my cracked core.

O my lord masscruzer 2111. "predrifting at maybe 30" more like learning how to do frontside 180 standups at 10 mph. Don't even try to deny it I was there and I witnessed it. wow you've really out done yourself with the exaggerations.

Re: Recalled Orangatang Wheels
I'm Necro'ing this thread for a good reason. 2 whole years after this recall, my friend just got sold a board with this problem. Would the recall still be viable? Could they get a replacement?
can someone turn this into a spiderman thread now?

She's quite new to the scene and didn't know what to do, after she explained what was wrong with the wheels I did research and discovered the recall had to be it. (as it was the same issues as many others who were recalled)
I told her tonight to go talk to the shop and if that doesn't work i told her to email otang and gave her the email.
Hopefully that will solve it, i just wanted to ask on here just in case anybody knows if the recall is still viable.

Yeah lol , she got the board at Bit's and as soon as i found out she paid around $500 for it I just laughed as I gave her advice to specifically not do what she did haha. She was too lazy to do research.

Ahhh bummer, I love the guys at bitz, but they have little technical knowledge. They told my friend a G&S pintail on gullwing chargers and their brand wheels would be a great all around setup, the flex sagged, it had no concave, the gullwing trucks were just not our style, and the wheels were horrendous for anything more than rolling, IMO. But what she did is how it's worked for 90% of boarders in Guelph ahaha.
