    Default New bearings

I need new bearings because my old ones seized up on me while i was hauling, luckily it was a back wheel so it didn't stop me instantly. But it was scary as hell so i want bearings that will be durable and can stand up to decently high speeds (nothing over 45mph). So if anyone has had any luck with a certain bearing post it please.

I honestly just use whatever is cheapest...

As long as your bearing is clean/well maintained it shouldn't be seizing up on you. Even an expensive bearing that is not maintained properly will begin to perform badly with time/riding.

I prefer riding whatever is cheap since this allows me to change into a new set of bearings during the times when I don't have a chance to clean my bearings.

In my opinion, any bearing will work for you... My friends swear by Bones Reds though for price-build quality, I can't tell the difference between them and my $3.00 VXBs.

I had one lock up so went and paid big bucks for some titanium Lucky Bearings. After only about 10 hours of riding the same wheel seized up again. Either I wasted money or I have some alignment issues with that wheel.

There's two different types of cheap. One type of cheap is "cheap quality" and then there's "cheap price." From what I understand, VXB's are on the end of "cheap price." Bones Reds and Mini Logo's will work fine for what you want to do.

Also, be aware of WHAT you're riding in. Sloshing through water/salt/snow/stuff like that will tend to ruin bearings faster than if you're riding through normal stuff.

They're fine for just messing around. I had some in my mini for almost a year.
Then I put them in my powerballs, and went fast and slid around for about 45 minutes. In that extremely short period of time they began to vibrate, and I can feel the bearings themselves wobble around when I kick fast.

TL: DR Don't use them for DH or sliding. Other than that, go for it.

    i say bones reds
you can have those forever and never clean them go through water, snow, dirt...whatever
my friend had a set on his board and took it "surfing" when it rained really bad and a couple weeks later they still rolled pretty good, while the one bearing he had that wasnt a reds (greaseball) was completely rusted and seized
