    Unhappy OMG Im out of shields, and in a bind

    Ok, I have lucky titaniums and 2 of my shields are screwed. what can I do, can I ride with them off without them f***ing me on downhill or do I have to buys some cheap crap and pry the shields off of them, what are my options. oh and can I mount my bearings that are closest to my trucks with the backside (exposed back of crown) towards the truck? thanks please respond anything helps cuz i'm in a jam

    first off bearings don't matter, as long as they spin they are fine, so "cheap crap" wont make a difference
    second i wouldn't ride w/o shields, just go buy some 10 dollar bearings and you'll be fine

    bearings matter. abec ratings do not (at skateboard speeds)

    At the shop I work at my co-workers say they never ride shields on their street boards, blows my mind. I told them I was going to keep riding shields and they said it was probably a good idea seeing as I'm way more apt to get something jammed in there.

    Well i got this issue under control but now that im messing with my bearings I might as well get them really clean. how do I take my Dupont delrin removable crowns off, then how do I get them back on. thanks guys
