So I'm looking for 70mm or less wheels purely for cruising that are super plush and smooth, that is, ride really nicely on really rough pavement with cracks etc.
are some of the wheels that have been suggested. Now I'm just trying to bring the list down haha.
Remember I'm not planning on sliding or anything like that just cruising and commuting, also meaning I don't want the wheel to be too slow!
Any help or other wheel suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Either of you guys actually read his post? hes looking for 70mm and below. The gravity wheels are a bit thin and more freeride-oriented. I find them to be about as roughl on the cracks as a comparable 80a zigzag (lime). Go for the 70mm 77a Pink zigzags if you want to soak up the cracks, and 70mm 75a tarantulas if you REALLY want grip.

Thanks NJ Joe! The tarantulas, would you say they are more plush than the zigzags? These were the two initial wheels I was looking at. I'm looking for the wheel that makes it feel like I'm riding on clouds haha.
To the others, please read my post...
edit: Avalons? How do they compare to the above two wheels mentioned?

i read it...just thought i would say it anyway. the sasquatches i mentioned would be more plush. the avalons would also be more plush, they are also wider. they would handle rough roads and cracks better

also, if you dont mind big, try 75a gumballs. very float like.
Aren't they 76mm? Please read my post.
To RodRod, these Avalons sound promising, so you saying they are even more plush/smooth than the 75a Tarantulas? Are they slow though? I don't want a wheel thats too slow...

you still haven't said why you dont want anything over 70mm. if your board has cutouts, then why not go for something a bit bigger? will you be running these on a topmount?

my 72a avilas arent slow at all. the avalons in the lowest duro (73a?) will be a little faster. they are super plush. good carving cruising wheels. uber wide too. i say go for it

To B-rad: I will get wheelbite with anything above 70mm and I do not want to use risers.
To endzone-bob: Thanks for the suggestion!
To RodRod: Sounds very promising now...
So pretty much it has come down to:
3DM Avalon 68mm 77a (lowest duro I could find)
ABEC11 Flashback 70mm 75a
Tunnel Tarantula 70mm 75a
Unless someone has any other suggestions?
From what RodRod has said I'm leaning towards the Avalons...
earthwing smokers, 70mm 83a. roll way fast and very smooth. don't let specs persuade you. some 78s roll hard and some 78s roll smooth. some roll fast and some slow. the earthwings roll fast and smooth. pm me if you want a set that are barely used for a good price. i get wheelbite so need to go smaller.
i say get the 5 extra mm with some bigzigs, iv ridden the pink bigzigs and its SOO plush
and you can mess with your trucks to avoid wheel bite, i wanted to stay away from big wheels till i rode some
also heard fantastic things about Gumballs and Avilas from people who have them
plus thats 5mm more that you can ride them
