the durians are 3mm bigger in the contact patch, but i doubt that will translate to a whole lot of extra grip because of the shape of the wheels.
what setup are you running them on? make sure you can run a 75mm wheel without biting. if you can then snag some durians. if you need a smaller wheel then the stims. either way you are going to have fun.

id say get some durians, just got mine in and am in love, i have a shaved down sector 9 for now in a shape somewhat similar to a vanguard.
plus durian means 5mm more that you get to ride on
Thank you, I was in a bit of a hurry.
I was sort of meaning to say is Durian's will last longer, so when you get down to 70mm you in a way have a set of Stimulus. I know its not exactly that way but you get the idea.
Yea I just got my dervish and I'm running it on Paris 180mm and a set of stimulus and I really like the way it rides. I had a landyatchz pintail with 70mm flashbacks and they dont compare to the stimulus'. They really do slide when you need them and can hold a corner when need be. Long story short, I like them a lot.
Im in the same predicament at the moment... trying to decide which of the two sets of wheels ill go for and also to go onto a dervish... I think Im going to go for the Durians as that way they might last me a bit longer... and i do alot of commuting on my board so the slightly larger wheel will help with that..
unless you have wheelbite issues with 75mm wheels get the durians

after riding my durians much more they are definitely the way to go imo
the 5mm more 'thane goes a long way for commuting, they roll faster and longer and you just feel more momentum over 70mm wheels. And for 86a they feel so cushy and nice you wont even know you're riding harder wheels. idk what it is but to me they feel cushier than my 70mm 78a nineballs.
