don't do it too often. the chemicals are kinda strong.
why spend the money on clorox wipes when you have a literally free source called water?
i just use a damp paper towel like once a month to take off dirt and other residues.

    Welcome to the fish!

Cleaning wipes should be fine for the baseplates and hangers.

soap and water is best for urethane (bushings and wheels) should you feel so inclined.

There is a lot of info on the fish about cleaning bearings which requires some disassembly to do a proper job.

If you follow proper dental practices, you should have a spare tooth brush laying around.

I use toothbrushies and a t-shirt. If I can't get it off dry, I'll blast it with Brakes Parts Cleaner.

Not really - it's not bleach, in spite of the brand name. It's the same thing that's in Lysol - a combination of three ammonium chloride compounds. We use the same stuff by a different brand name at work (greenhouses) for sanitizing because it's much less harsh than bleach. It won't damage tools, clothing, or even live plants. The worst problem with it is that regular exposure will dry your skin.

If you have some bearings alread rusted and ready to throw away I'd give it a shot. I've used a couple sets of cheap bearings this fall and had some rusted ones eventually, threw away a few bearings that were fubar, but managed to fix most by just washing and scrubbing them in hot water and soap, dried them quickly and lubed them. The still runs fine. So yeah, if I had some rust cleaner , I'd use it.

Cool dude, I'll give it a shot. There might be a mini in my car rusting away (I couldn't stand the rain anymore, took it out for a run). I don't wanna be throwing out a set of Biltins.

Search "$1.25 Bearing Cleaner" and you'll find something just for those Biltins.
