    Default Wheel Nut Keeps Unscrewing

I just assembled my first longboard (Kracked Skulls Scimitar).

As I've been riding, the nut on both of the left wheels keeps unscrewing for some odd reason. I made sure that I rescrewed them so that it wasn't so tight as to prevent the wheels from spinning freely, yet this seems to keep on happening.

I wanted to know if this has happened to anyone, and/or what solutions do you guys suggest.

    Thanks!

Sounds like old nylock. Get some blue locktite and you'll be golden.

Loctite will eat whatever nylon is remaining. Get a new axle nut. A decent hardware store will have what you need (5/16" x 24 tpi). Make sure to get the thinner "jam" style.

What do you mean by "jam" style? Also do you think that Lowes or Home Depot would carry this type of nut?
    Thanks again!

Jam nuts are thinner than regular lock nuts. The latter typically won't fit on a skateboard truck unless the axles are extra long (or you're running wheels with 8mm spacing).

Decent hardware stores will have what you want.

Another solution (although not a full solution) is to get bearing spacers and speed rings that allow you to actually tighten the nuts fully.
