Default Bones Swiss still slow! Help!

I borrowed my friend's Gravity longboard, but his bearings are absolutely repulsing. He never cleaned them. I dont have money for speed cream. Ive tried cleaning it but its still slow tried several lube substitutes on and inside the bearing. what could be the cause of its failure to obtain speed?

If it's an older Gravity with Street/Super G's or Fu Manchus wheels, they are the reason. Very slow and sluggish wheels.

Most likely its your wheels. Bearings don't matter as long as they're somewhat clean. If the bearings are actually the problem then they need cleaned, not simply lubed with a brand name lube that the bro at the skate shop said you had to have.

Take the bearings apart and shake them up in mineral spirits, then in 91% iso alcohol. Let them dry and either oil them or grease them with whatever you want as long as its not a solvent like wd40. Put them back together and skate.

What you have cleaned/lubed them with would be useful info.

Could be the wheel as well. Some old gravity and new krypto wheels are obnoxiously slow.
