kinda bummed the 66mm zigs in classic formula arent up there, but the 70s sound nice.

if the grippins win it all (which it looks like they will, the other thread has a lot of votes for em) ill probably pick up a set for some slalom action.

Just so no one gets ahead of themselves.....I accidentally put 70 mm Flywheels instead of the correct size 76 mm flywheels. There is no 70mm flywheels in existence, I just made a spelling error. If a mod could fix this...that would be great.

holy crap i didnt even see that option, the hub of flies is like 65mm already, so unless theres a redesign we are talking 5mm of thane before these are cored... i want to see a picture of these.

With a redesigned core It would be awesome!
I love topmounts and i love fly wheels, but topmounts and flywheels dont go very well with eachother

Btw, i own two boards a DH36 and a Mystery Model. I can barley get away with 70mm on those

really? a buddy of mine lived by topmounts and 76 flies. but he had kahas and wore those things down to the core.

I just said this in the previous thread but seeing as this is the next step in the process, I'll say it again here:

If chris would sell amber zigs for $42 a set, he would sell out of each new batch within a matter of days.

That thane in that shape at that price would be so competitive in today's wheel market that other companies would be begging him to stop selling them.

I ride my setups stupid loose tho. maybe if i but a riser and some cupped washers ill avoid bite if i use my kahas

Grippins for slalom? Fair enough.
Except Zigs (and other wheels with offset bearing and a square lip) work far better for slalom than center-set Grippins. And win more races.

Because I like extra rebound.
Not so different to the idea (quoted above) to make Zigs - a square-edged slalom wheel - in a formula with LESS grip?

In the end, it's just about thinking up weird wheels... "what if..."
And an interesting public exercise in "design by majority"...
... everyone will have an opinion - And you know what they say about those...

Whatever mutant wheel we end up with, some people will hug it and take it home (like E.T.) and others will be physically repelled by it (like The Fly).

As long as they somehow tweak it so they come in that super-retro see-thru amber thane, I'll be happy

76mm flywheels reflex - faster than normal flys, grippier than normal flys, it jsut makes sense.

and don´t start with the whole ´they won´t slide nice sh1te´, lime bigzigs have terrible slide, so will these, thats not a problem!

FLYWHEELS dammit, fook the rest

Edit: There are enough wheels on the market that slide and grip and are smooth etc, get some cults if you want zigzags in classic thane, same thing, same feel, or any of the other lipped sliding wheels. 76mm reflys on the other hand, there is nothing like it, nothing to beat it, EXCLUSIVE race wheels, I NEED THEM DAKMMSDmn acapslock aargh
