Zombie 84a or Abec11 Flashback 88a for freeride.
I currently have 88a flashbacks on my Switch. They slide really nice and smooth once you get them going, but getting them to slip is a PITA.
So would the Zombie 84a be a good alternative. They are even softer than my flashbacks but the contact patch isn't quite as big so I'm thinking they will break out a lot more predictably.
Thanks

What are you looking to be doing? I'm guessing freeride.
EDIT:I agree 81a is best in abec 11. Works great on my grippin's and they slide wonderfully.
EDIT2: I just realized it says freeride in the title.

88a flashies are not going to be that great. it will be a harsh ride with a hard chattery slide. if you go with them, go no harder than 84a, 81a is ideal.

They are a bit better but its not worth the money if u allready have the flashbacks
If your not stacking it, your not trying hard enough.

You could always try radiusing your flashbacks a bit.

Well my buddy owes me $50 anyway so thats why am considering the Zombies. If you guys think that they initiate slides easier and more predictably then I am going to get them. Im tired of being bucked off because they either dont slide, or slide for a split second and then grip and throw me 10 feet on my face.
Im not sure i want to mod the flashbacks, but i will look into it.
EDIT: ok just looked into it, some people have radiused their grippins into slippins and that seemed to work. I think i will try it with the flashbacks.

The way I did it and problably the simplest way is to ride a mellow hill sittling on your board and to take your feet and put them on the ourter lips and apply even pressure to slow yourself down but not stop all the way. It takes a few runs but works really well.

Im thinking ill get a file and ride down a hill holding it against the wheel. Might take some practice to hold it on there right, but i think itll work better than a shoe.

I got great results radiusing a set of wheels by using my friends Bench grinder. It's basically this super fast spinning stone wheel, and it's meant for sharpening metal. I did one wheel at a time, put them on my truck axel with bearings, let it spin up to speed, then held it at an angle and applied pressure, came out perfect. Also works for stone grinding the surface of your wheel if you want an easier time sliding.
FOR SALE:
Rayne Killswitch
Original Freeride 41
All boards have seen minimal ride time and are in great condition.
Can sell as complete or deck only.
PM for info.

Im pretty sure a file at Home Depot is cheaper than a bench grinder
But thanks, if I can get into my Mechanical Engineering lab theres all sorts of sanding machines I could use.

disagree. 81a on a flywheel kinda blows. Overall I'd say 78a is best.
