Question Bones Swiss or IDS Oust Moc 9 bearings?

Hey guys im thinking of upgrading from abec 7's and im looking for a really fast bearing thats not too much money. I want to know if the bones swiss or moc 9 bearings are better or if you know of another bearing thats as good or better than those. Thanks!

Fast bearings are clean bearings. Abec ratings mean squat in the skate world. If you live in the US get yourself a set of Mile High Skate bearings and be a happy camper.

Yep all bearings are fast. The only differnce I have ever found in bearings that I though could matter is the quality of the seals/sheilds. The oust's have good sheilds but the MHS ones are just as good (better than most bones) and are 1/5th the cost and if you are like me and don't like to clean bearings then the cheapest ones you can find are the best cause they all get ruined from being dirty and wet just as fast.

    EDIT: 100th post yay!!

Those are the ones. They come free if you buy wheels from MHS too!

I think abec11 bearings feel faster right out of the box, but they get dirty easily and then wear down and get slow, they are a pain in the ass to clean

reds / swiss feel about the same to me, fast but easy to clean, they have a longer break in period but once they break in they feel fast for a long time

the MHS bearings are cheap, easy to clean, pretty fast, and are pretty heavily greased and don't need to be cleaned for a long while

I push 4 miles a day sometimes and I eat through bearings so cheap+durable wins

I haven't cleaned any them yet and they still feel "ok" 2-4 months of heavy use later

although I really think I should have cleaned them once a month or every other month,

i personally am a big fan of bones redz just because theyre cheap and last quite a while. if youre going to get a bones set, dont bother upgrading to the swiss ones, just stick with redz

When you hold bearings hold the race and tweak the outside side to side. you will feel the tolerances . Good bearings will be tight and sloppy bearings that are not designed right will be loose . Oust have been designed to be tight with tolerances for more speed when side loads are forced in turns.

yeah for sure, I got some oust bearings on the complete I ordered from Richy's store and they are really nice. I'd go with those over bones, but really if I was going to spend money on bearings I'd just go all out and get some ceramics... as it is I don't, so MHS bearings are where it's at just like everyone says.

Just get some Bones Reds and clean them once a month. My Reds are faster than my Swiss because I've cleaned them regularly.
