Default Bearings for Pink Powerballs??? noob question

I ran some searches and didn't turn up anything helpful... probably b/c this is a silly question.

I've got a fresh set of 72mm 78a Pink Powerballs, but my Bones Red bearings that I use in other wheels (Stimulus, Durians) don't seem to fit in this wheel. What gives? I don't think I should slam the bearings into the wheel, but maybe that's what you do?

fyi - I do not have bearing spacers.

Help, advice! Send it this way.

you're on drugs, bones reds will fit, you NEED spacers and buy a skate tool with a bearing press function. Abec 11 wheels with a "hard" core are usually a bit tight... which is good. Otangs usually you can press bearings in with your fingers. In a pinch find a socket that fits around the rim of the bearing and press it in.

thats what tool I have, see the bearing press?
I have a bunch of skateboards

Isn't this what you're supposed to put in a signature?

many wheels are a bitch to get the bearings in. You can use your truck as a bearing press. Don't "slam them in", just push.

thats why I said, a socket that fits around the RIM of the bearing... Not that presses on the shield. OR just use the truck.

And you really ought to use spacers fyi... But yeah, bearings can be a bit tight in some cores, but they will pop in place.

thanks everybody. i've been meaning to get a skate tool instead of using random tools in the shed. this validates my need to make that purchase. and i'll get spacers as well while i'm at it.

    helpful skate tool picture.
