The stupidest bearing care video I have ever seen.
Is it just me, or does this guy really not know what he's talking about. I mean, I've heard that gasoline works for cleaning bearings. But he should learn more before trying to help people out.
DW-40. Come on now.

Re: The stupidest bearing care video I have ever seen.
Usually I have seen some decently helpful videos from them, but this.. "I'm a sponsored skater" and he knows nothing of bearing care. It's just. Sad.

"The best kind of bearings are Bones Swiss Bearings"
"But I find with Swiss Bearings it actually makes them a little bit louder and it gives them a nice feel when you're skating them"
Nice to know you can be retarded and still be sponsored by Bones.

Re: The stupidest bearing care video I have ever seen.
Bone swiss bearings, I find, respond remarkably well to vodka, while abec's require a mix of rum and bourbon. But Johnnie Walker is a good all around cleaner.
Kidding aside, when I clean my bearings i usually pop out the individual bearings from the track, put everything in the alcohol (inner and outer rings, plastic spacer, and bearings) and swirl vigorously until i see a good amount of grime in solution. Rinse and dry everything thoroughly, then reassemble and lube. A bit more time consuming by my bearings run beautifully. =)
This guy is about as smart as a rock...... leaving the shields off MAY allow some dirt to leave, but the amount of crap that would get caught in the bearings is orders or magnitude larger. I love how this sack of bricks spouts how he is a sponsored boarder, and a president of a club, but demonstrates no actual knowledge on how to clean bearings. The only content he has is from what he has heard, not from what he has tried or done.
Idiot.

Cheaper bearings are easy. ;p
He said something about SF youth group or whatever. Does it stand for 'S--T F--K!" As that's what you scream as you fly off your board from your bearings seizing up.

Re: The stupidest bearing care video I have ever seen.
One time I had only one set of 10mm bearings left and needed to use em for a last minute setup and I cleaned them with lighter fluid and lubed them with KY Jelly. They worked for a session but all the KY leaked out through the seals.
