    Default BigZigs or Hawgz

I've been riding monster hawgs on my evo for about 3 years now and i'm thinkin about getting some new wheels cause they're pretty worn out and im going to repaint my deck. I've heard alot of good things about bigzigs so curious what your experiences are. Mostly I started looking at them because i'm painting my deck lemon and black, so it'd be good to have lemon wheels to go with it.

    Thanks for the help

Just because the wheels will match your deck doesn't mean you have to get them. Although this is the case, many people seem to like them so i'm sure they will suit your needs just fine.

Lemon big zigs are awesome. I highly recomend them. you shouldnt choose them just for color but theyre awesome and its an added bonus that they match!

Oh definitely im not an idiot, that's why i've got red hawgz on my evo now, I hate red, alot, but they're on my board cause it's what I needed. I've over looked bigzigs a lot and i just remembered the other day that they come in lemon so i was curious of how 83a performed DH. I can't remember but I think my monster hawgz are 82a and i can't get them to slide very easily, could just be me.

It's so hard to look at duro these days since every brand of wheels rides different, no matter what the duro is. Also you could buy a set of wheels and they'd be perfect, but then you break them in and you can't get a controlled slide. It's also not a cheap sport to do alot of experimenting. I was just reading over my first post and it does look like im goin for color, oops, wasn't how i meant to come off. My second choice would be another set of monster hawgz or seismics, not a big fan of my otangs.

My lemons are sick. I have them topmounted on a Mystery Model. They grip really well but are also easy to slide with. At this point I would say they are one of my favorite DH wheels. I have burned through a set of Monster Hawgs, and Mini Monster Hawgs, both in 80a (the white ones). They are also very nice wheels, but the Lemon Zigs just do it for me. I haven't tried them on a drop deck like the Evo so I can only imagine they would lock up well, but be nice and drifty when you needed them to.

you are in eugene correct? If so someone in town has some lemon bigzigs. He rides them for downhill and says he really likes them. I loved my limes when I had them. Bigzigs are awesome wheels. I would imagine he would let you ride them if you wanted.

Thanks for all the replies its what I think im gonna go with. Here's my new setup, i'd love to get some ideas/ opinions.

    09 Evo
    Lemon bigzigs
85a yellow venom eliminators in the front bushing
93a green venom eliminators on the back bushing
(Going for carvy when I need it but really strong rebound)
    black 852 grizzlies
    bones ceramics

Besides that im completely repainting it and regripping it, ill post a bunch of pics when I'm done.

    Opinions?

Get some cheaper bearings, you really don't need expensive ones. Mile High Skates bearings are great. I would use that money to buy a bunch of bushings to try out, they are fun to experiment with.
