Re: zombie hawgs on spud
I can't vouch for zombie hawgs but my friend has monster hawgs on his flexdex l37 and theyre boss for sliding. Standups are nothing on that board so I can only imagine that the zombies would be even better for sliding.

Re: zombie hawgs on spud
I would imagine they would be fairly similar to Strickers(Freerides) since the shape is pretty close. Or like S9 Raceforms, iv heard them compared to those.
I would think they would be really fun, never rode them. Id say get them and have fun, cant really go wrong.

Re: zombie hawgs on spud
i just picked up a set of 84a zombies. They are a very good slide wheel. They will slide very smooth and will hook up very well. I would defiantly recommend them. If you are going to do some hard carving i recommend getting the 80a's because the 84's will slip out during hard carving.

Re: zombie hawgs on spud
I really like the 80a's, don't like the 84a's at all.
Go with the white zombie hawgs. Landy's white thane is awesome. The others are meh, imo.

The 84as feel TOTALLY different from the whites. The blacks are sick, the whites are sicker.

Agreed. I tried the blacks on a friend's board, and it wasn't a nice feeling. I went to pendy and it whipped around to a 180 like I hit a patch of ice, but then they gripped up unexpectedly and I ran into a curb because I couldn't get it back around... The whites were smooth and predictable the whole time.
Maybe if I set them up on a board I was more comfortable on they'd feel better.

The blacks suck balls for low speed sliding. They really shine at fast slides, or steeeep pavement where you keep your momentum up. They slide awesome if you keep the motion fast and all in the same direction. Linked heelside to switch toesides feel reaaaal good.
But the whites are still a better wheel IMO. The blacks also wear REALLY well.

The 66/72/77mm freerides? In the Abec green 'thane (not the Reflex lime/lemon/orange), they're drifty and fun. Landy's thane is grippier and a bit faster.
I'd go with 78a.

the 72mm. ive always had soft wheels though so i kind of want to get something harder and driftier. i think lemon or orange will do. i already have the regular landy hawgs. not the monsters though. and their super grippy so i think i'll go to the other end of the duro spectrum

Reflex wheels are grippy, no matter what. Even lemon or orange freerides are grippy, but the oranges have a choppier slide than the lemons or limes.
If you want something really drifty, go with Retro 81a Classic Freerides or the green Abec 11 72mm Freerides (81a) that I don't think are stocked yet. Strikers work too.
Venom Sidewinders are also a good choice.
