well ive skated the middle size one avalons i think and they were lipped 75a
    fast and grippy
i definetely reccomend these wheels for a carving board but these wheels will not slide
thats what the difference is with the trimmed ones the can go into slides
    (i think)

trimmed are grippier, crappy, the avalons are 74a, the can slide, u just have to push them harder to make them slide, but i wouldnt suggest makin them slide, they will work well with ur exkates, i have tried them on a board with exkates, very fun wheels, for carvin purposes i dont think theres a total need for trimmed ones vs. regular

I can get Avalons the slide pretty easy but they do grip really well. I think I like my Grippins more though. Trimmed ones have more grip.

Oh my god I LOVE my avilas they are cushier than gummys and far grippier at only a slight downgrade in speed. Mine are 72 A and the gummys are 78a

no, they're not. think about it. it makes no sense at all. they are however, move predictable when losing traction

    ah jeez, here we go

avilas have a flexible outer lip, flexible lips translate to more traction, however, the lip must be supported well to make use of the extra traction that is offered, by trimmin the outer lip, it makes the flexible lip more supported, so it will not bend and be useless, thus adding more grip

at least thats how it was explained to me

trimming it takes off the "flexible lip"
