    Default Striker 77mm Wheels

Ok 1st of all I wanna thank all the guys who helped me pick out my 1st longboard a few weeks ago. Im lovin it! The setup I have is a Hypercarve with randal 150s and I have it equipt with 1/2 in risers and vib pads. Im askin a question you guys get almost every week, "What the best wheel for carving/controlable slides?". Now I have read around the forums for a while and I have decided that Striker 77s in 88a are probrably my best choice. I have a set of 80s era H-St 95a 60mm wheels that Iv been using for mostly trick sliding, but Im finding that these wheels are very unpredictable especialy at emergency slides. They are also VERY slow, even tho they are equipt with bones reds that are very clean. Iv got some cruising wheels (66mm krypgrips) but I cant slide for crap on those. I have never ridden anything besides the wheels that Iv got so I dont really know what to expect. Ok so onto the questions. Is this a good wheel choice for mainly cruising and grip? But I want them to drift and slide when I need them too, also. Also will these wheels be small enogh to fit on my board? As my board is now I have about 1-2in. clearance on my 66s. It seem like I read somewhere that the limit on wheels for a hypercarve was like 76mm, is this true? And last but not least how much of a learning curve will there be trying to learn how to ride these monsters? Thanx for your help!

If I were you, I would cut down on the riser and get the 66mm strikers. The duro is spot on for mostly sliding, and for more carving I recommend 81a or 84a.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.

What do you think that the Hypercarve wont accept that big of wheel?

i was looking into getting a set of Strikers for my downhill/speedboard, in 81a. the price turned me off, though, and i already have too many green wheels. i'm currently running Gumballs in 78a, which are very nice for speed, but slide/drift unpredictably and make it very difficult to slide to a stop. the radiused edges of the Strikers looked nice for safety slides, but i think i might just get a set of Cherry Bombs or possibly some 9Balls instead, due to price.

    you'll like the Flow dvd.
