    in a wheel, does the distance from bearing to bearing make any difference with speeD?

    like would that distance between them make a difference?

    Wider would probably be better, as there'd be less force on the bearings during cornering/carving.

    As in 8mm vs 10mm spacing, ie rollerskate vs. skateboard-specific? If that affects ultimate speed, I'd think it would be related to what Mark was touching on there: that the wider-spacing improves the wheel's resistance to angular loads when turning, etc...
