    Default ABEC 11 Flashback 70mm 84a duro

My question is: Is this wheel a good wheel for sliding and learning sliding

i was going to get the stimulus's but there price is pretty high and i then came across the flashback which are prety nicely priced. I like to slide a lot and around me there arent to many good downhill hills and there is a lot of rough concrete around here so i thought that the flashbacks would be just as a good of a wheel to slide on oppose to the stimulus's.

Try the 81a. I am riding these currently and they are working out great. There is a definite increase in speed compared to the sluggish landyachtz hawgs I was riding before.

good wheel for a good price IMO. i got mine for like 35, been riding them for about 2 or 3 months, and only one wheel is barely starting to wear on the lip a little. i didnt know how to slide at speed at all before i got them but now if been learning how to break the board loose a little easier (its my first summer longboarding). you may want a slightly harder duro just for sliding though, the 84a's have an interesting grip.

81a is pretty much the sweet spot in Abec 11/ Retro classic thane.

I'm ordering a complete from motionboardshop, but they don't have 81a, do you think it's alright if I just get 84a? I mean, i'm looking at this wheel for more of freeride than downhill..

Do 78a. The durometer is only a number. Every wheel has different characteristics that make it feel "softer" or "harder" e.g. urethane depth in this situation.

78a is super buttery, 81a is a little less but I like the grip / slip ratio a little better, and I like that they slow you down less. All the wheels in those pictures are 78a.

So...78a wears THAT much? I can't slide worth **** on my 9balls, so would 81a be the best?

with rough roads you will probably want 78-81. they both slide great too. 9balls slide great after they have worn and aged.

Personally the 88A version is my favorite because you can pull super long standies as they slide really predictably and last last longer than the softer duros.
