    Default quickie wheel reviews

Seismic Hot Spot (69mm/80a) -- Fast, smooth, and corners like the board is on rails. No scrub, no lip flex, and they carry their speed in turns beautifully. Very "precise" feeling wheels. The profile is like a cross between a conventional 3dm Avalon and trimmed Avalon--but even better. If you're normally running 75a-78a wheels, you can probably bump up to these w/o losing traction or grip.

Gravity Fu Manchu (76mm/82a) -- These are the "yard sale" version that Gravity is selling on their website. They were purportedly poured in the wrong color, but what's interesting is that they measure within 2 points of the stated hardness (unlike many Bravo/Kryptonics-produced wheels). Good blend of speed, rebound, and traction. As with similar wheels (Classik K, etc), they drift in corners, but it's reasonably predictable. Can't beat 'em for the price.

If you run a 80/85 in avalons, how do you feel that would translate to hot spots?

Not sure yet. I have a hunch that you could go one step harder, but tonite was my first time on them, so I'm not sure (yet).

Are you having any problem with unwanted drift or sliding with your current 80/85 setup?

Hey Mark, have you gotten a chance to ride Sacrafice's new 63mm 97a wheels? They look pretty hot, but I cant find any reviews.. (aside from Concussion's, and its more of a "I got these wheels.. and uh.. they're pretty big. I like small wheels.. i didnt ride em.")

Nope, I haven't. Chances are they're very similar to Cowboy Punk Black Plagues, Conspiracy Alient Shots, and Gravity Snaps.

A tad, but only because of my bad technique... I'd probably slip on 74a's too, but once I'm rolling and locked in the 80/85 4mm trim has been beautiful.
