    Default hawgs and kryptos

    anyone who has ever owned white hawgs or kryptos knows that they will turn yellow with time. why is this? is it tar contact, or sunlight contact? something else?

    its a combo of dirt, oil mist from the bearings, and good ol sunlight.

    Mine are yellowing after only a little while, mind you, I ride them hard in the rain.

    Pretty much any white wheel will jaundice on you over time, especially soft ones it seems.

    thanks, but is the yellow tar or is it the actual plastic?

    the yeller part is part of the wheel urethane. . as you ride, the wheel picks up minute amounts of car oil off the road surface, which is partially absorbed into the 'thane, giving it a slight yeller color.
