    Default Duro Questions

Sorry guys, just posted a topic but I have another question. I didn't realize how easily my 78a Flashies "chipped," and I just took a close look at the Flashies on my Insect and PHUUUUCK! What is the ideal duro for maintaining a decent "absorbness" while not being soft enough to chip? Are 3dm's or Seismics less prone to chipping than Abec11? Feedback much appreciated.

chipping is usally cause by either getting crappy wheels that have cracks in them(castoffs or just low quality), or by running over sharp gravel or glass, as for siesmic/3dm (same thing basically) there poured by the same people who do wheels for abec11 as mark has said in other posts, so would it make a difference no i wouldnt think so as its the same urathane.

So i would say just dont run over sharpe gravel or glass, and get your wheels from a reputable source like mark at Mile High Skates

The only competition in life is yourself, but be warned it loves to throw challenges in your face, just to make it a fun experience..

81-84a will wear a little better, and still give good grip and cushion.

I, personally, slide my 78a Flashies, and while they're coned, zero chunks.

They're amazing. The 80a's that I've been testing have good speed, and excellent grip. In corners you can really power through. Nickle rode them, and he too was very impressed.

OK Mark last question, I think I might order a set of those hot spots from you before Xmas but would I notice a HUGE difference between 83a and 80a or is it trivial when carving hard? I am picking up one of Flexdex's new pro41's and the colors of the new boards are army green so the 83's would look good... but then again I am all about carvability. What do you think?

I've only ridden the 80's, so I don't know if the 83's will be that different.
