    Default Krypto vs. Abec 11

no this is not about which one is better...

I was just wondering what the difference in ride is between the Krypto 85mm/Landyachtz hogs and the 83mm flywheels.

I was thinking about getting an evo complete with randal dh's, and the krypto combo is way cheaper!
    and yeah: Flywheels 83mm $59.95
    Gumballs 76mm $43.95
Krypto Classic 85mm $32.00.....and still the biggest!

biggest does not equal best. In general, krypto wheels and their derivatives (landy hawgs, gravity, etc.) are not as grippy as their ABEC 11 counterparts. The urethane doesn't last as long either.

Some people find kryptos better for drifting turns, however.

The Krypto's aren't as hard as they claim. I rode some 85mm K's for a short while, and found that they were very slow. A durometer test indicated that they were in the 70-70a range, and this was for a supposed 80a wheel.

krypto - meh...I like them but NOTHING compares to a flywheel....

I have an EVO set up with crails and 75a 83mm flywheels and it is far and away my favorite ride.

Spend the cash...get the flys with biltin abec 7's....it will be worth it.

ugh krypto sucks with the duro thing... anyways i assumed the kryptos would be faster because they have a smaller contact patch. I guess if im gonna shell out $180 in the first place i can add another $30

I was riding l3m0ns 85mm Kryptos and they felt pretty sluggish compared to my 72a Flywheels. I would definitly get the Flys.
