    Default flywheel size for evo

soon ill be replacing my 81a gumballs on my evo for some flywheels. my question is should i get 83mm or 90m? ive ridden the 83s before and i really like them. are the 90s excessive for the evo and because they are taller will they affect stabliity? also are how are the 81a's ive only ridden the 78s. ill be primarily doing speed runs with lots of drifting and speeds of around 45-50mph. thanks

90s have a similar urathane depth to the Gumballs so those will probably feel better to you then the 83s. I have heard the 81a ones slide really easy. The hardest I have tried are 78a and they seemed to hit the spot for drifting and great grip. I have never personally ridden 90mm lywheels but I have ridden the 83mm 78a around 45-50 with some drifting. They seemed to be really nice. I have ridden the 83s on an Evo as well and they seemed to be a good size.

    Gotta try those 90mm soon!

90mm are really big, there might be a slight chance of catching your heel or something. On a tight turn.

90's are the sickest of sizes... I would highly recommend them to anyone, especially someone with an Evo.

With 97's, you can run over small rodents. So that's a plus.

    Default 90mm on evo

    i have 90mm (78a) on evo. i found,
    1. with rDH they rub if you run them loose.
    2. with r2 they dont rub even with a loose truck in tight turns (i use 1/8 risers). note: this might change with bushing selection tho.

i ended up going to a short board shop the other day to get new shoes and they just started to carry longboard stuff. the guy who owned the shop sold me brand new 90mm flys in 81a for 45$. i was shocked, he said he wasnt sure on the price so he hooked me up. i really like em, and dont see my anyone would get them in 75a. 81a seems like a good compliment to my skateing style. i have em set up with randall dh baseplates and 180 hangers with double stims in the front and black randal bushings in back.
