Abec 11 Free rides vs flashbacks

Might sound like a stupid question but what's better for free riding and slides, abec 11 flashbacks 81a or abec 11 free rides 81a? I've seen heeeeeeeeeeaps on how good the flashbacks are for slides but not much on the free rides. It would make sense for the free rides to be better but I haven't seen anything saying which is.

Damn, I hastily ordered the Flashbacks after spending almost an entire day reading posts on silverfish about how they're one of the best wheels for slides if not the best. This was before I even considered the free rides since they just never popped up anywhere when I searched for slidey wheels, guess they're fairly newish or under used?

If you buy those Freerides from MHS, you'll get a free set of his bearings which are actually really good. Longboard Wheels Mile High Skates He doesn't have the flashbacks in the duro you were looking for, nor does he have the larger freerides in the duro you were looking for, but if you dont mind getting a different durometer you would save some $$. I had a set of 84a freerides and they were great. They wore very evenly and only started to oval once they got close to the core. I have not owned any flashbacks before, but abec11 makes quality wheels for a great price, so im sure either way you would be happy.

Edit: I guess I was too late. Have fun with those flashbacks, I know they will treat you well.

I wouldn't really sweat it man, they both slide amazing.... Some prefer the bigger core of the freeride, but flashbacks are also a tried and true kick ass slide wheel.

hahaha definitely not underused. The reason the flashbacks get so much hype is because they are so cheap. So when noobs ask "OMG WUHT SLID WEEL SHUD I GET" people say "flashbacks".
Freerides are great and a very popular wheel. And so are the flashbacks.

Mainly because Abec 11 Classic urethane is so fucking kick ass.

not completely off topic but, whats the difference of freeride reflex formula to classic formula?? some say the classics wear fast but slides better and the reflex is just the opposite.

They are probably on Flashbacks, Freerides, and Classic zigs. at the end I'm pretty sure they have zig-zags on their boards (or big zigs)

pretty sure they were on all three... i am actuly deciding between these two wheels for a lot of sliding and a little downhill... i am thinking flashies just because i could save a little money but i am still undecided

go for the flashies. they can hold a corner if they have to. the freerides will also be gone before you know it.... they have massive cores and classic thane wears fast.

Buttery feels like your wheels are melting away thane when you slide = shorter slide, more control

Icy feels like your wheels Are skipping over the top of the pavement = longer slide, less control
