Sector 9 Goddess of speed 76mm wheels.
I have gumballs and these are faster, drift easier and ride real nice.
Not kidding.
S9 wheels are very underated.

If u have the money get the flywheels but man i have gumballz and they ride like a dream.
Do you choose to bomb hills with sick speed?
Or carve all the way down? Slide and spin out of control? What ever it is as long as its LOngboarding! SHOUT OUT TO THE NATIV CREW

the gumballs seem slow to me. Maybe i should have gotten a harder duro. Anyway the flywheels in the lower sizes are nice allaround wheels prividing the roads are reitivly smooth. If you live with very poor roads id get the gumballs.

If you want a similar wheel to the one you have I would get 83mm Flywheels. They just have more grip and speed then Kryptos.

If you want nice wheels that stay up to speed just with the Fly's, drift just as well and won't slide out when you need to carve, check out the 77mm Strikers. I rode my buddy's Fly's and hated how much grip they lacked when you just wanted to cruise and carve. My Strikers in 81a have tons more grip, go just as fast, and drift the corners just as nicely. We do some runs head-to-head and we're always right next to one another through the steeps and corners.

whoa whoa whoa, what gen were his flys? if 2nd, then yes they would drift just as well, the 3rds have more grip indeed and dont drift as easily, but they still drift nicely, the 3rds should also have more grip than those strikers, but still, gumballs, strikers, or flys, all excellent wheels, any of those will be an upgrade from your kryptos

I don't know about generations... his were the newest, bright Abec 11 green ones. The back fishtails when you carve hard, both he and I noticed it. He had a set of amber 83's that we used for drifting and they're a lot smoother than the newer green Fly's. Didn't try to carve the amber ones, and thus, didn't notice them sliding out.
I still say go with 77mm Strikers in 81a.

What duro were the flywheels that you were riding? Because I have a set of 81a 77 strykers and I was hoping for an improvment in grip as these slide out quite easily for me in deep carves. Its great for rubbing speed in the steaps but sucks for just setting smooth deep lines. I know this isn't what flys are for but I mainly do high speed carving. Having them be center set(flywheels) would be beneficial so you wouldnt' have to worry about coning as well.

i have flys and strikers
my strikers are 88a 77m and they a pretty versatile, excellent for those drifts
my 83mm flys are definetely faster and are more tankish
strikers have more uses
but flys are pretty awesome

My sector wheels cracked to **** after only like 4 months and I don't even slide that often. I did see a good review in concrete wave on that particular wheel so I guess it could have been an older style. But of course you can never go wrong with some good old gumballs.

I've got sets of the flys (90mm 75a) gumballs (81a) and strykers (88a) and I have to say that the gumballs have the best grip and roll really nice. The flys are pretty much tanks, they take more effort to accelerate but keep their speed nicely and roll over anything. The flys still grip really nicely and you to really try to break them loose through normal cornering and carving. I've riden all these wheels on my Evo but the flys live there most of the time with the gumballs going on every now and then when I really need the grip... the strykers will probably never go back on. So, if you really need the extra grip go gumballs but if you have the money I'd recommend the flys.

According to MHMark the new S9 wheels are poured by the same people who pour abec 11 and 3dm wheels. I'm guessing your S9's were the old ones and not the new ones.
