    Default gumballs for safety sliding?

I'm looking to put some new wheels on my dh race and I was thinking of going with like 78a gumballs (i would like to go with some 83mm flys but im afraid they wont grip enough). I'm just learning how to safety slide and my question is whether the gumballs are gonna chunk really easily b/c i chunked my friend's 75a gumballs on one mess up slide. I was also considering like 88 or 84a strikers but I donno if they'd be grippy enough for me cuz i like to carve at high speed. I'm mainly concerned with grip and durability, speed isn't that much of an issue for me. any advice would be great.

Strikers would be a better choice.

man, in al honest for any kind of carving do not get hard strikers. i would go for 81 a at the hardest. 75a chunks nice, but 81 will be fine. try some green 76mm kryptos 83a (supposedly)

I'm actually looking to get some Strikers. My intent is to have them put on a sliding board, but I also want to be able to make decent carives without unpredictably breaking into a slide: in essence, a middle-of-the-road compromise between carving, but something that's easy to slide in. Recommendations?

Strikers are very predictable wheels. Even in the lower duro's, safety slides are quite doable. Same with Powerballs.
