    Default Biltin Bearings, which ones?

I want to get some Biltin Bearings for my Flashbacks (70mm). What size do I need, 5 or 7?

Go for the 7's, there's a noticeable difference from the 5's and who likes to push more than neccesary anyways?!

The 3/5/7 isn't size, but the ABEC rating. Since Biltins and Flashbacks come from the same company, they'll fit.

Get the 7's if you've got the $$$.

...Lady.. I have 4 sets of Biltin's 7's. They are decently fast. Well worth the minimal cash out of your pocket/purse.

Ditto. With the small price difference, I am not sure why one would bother with the 5's.

C'mon people, are there really differences among the three: 3,5,7?

    a mini was 300 and a regular was 300.

would you rather pay 50 more for like 15 more gigs or get the little crappy one. pretty wierd analogy i know

go for the better one its like 4 bucks extra

I've ridden many different bearings ranging from "abec rating"(as if that mattered in skating)3-7 and most differences among them were due to their lube, be it grease or oil. The only 2 I can honestly say that made a significant difference in push-roll and speed maintenance were Bones Super 6 and PT Ceramics.

Rick, there is a difference, a tangible one, between all of them. You will notice a large difference on the same set-ups... I really didn't like the 5's where as the 7's did well. I can honestly say that there is a difference, no matter what lube you put in them. It's the same lube anyways, which means that there is a significant difference between the two.

How can you say something like that when like 10 other experienced longboarders said that sevens are the best?

I've ridden 5's and 7's, and the 7's are noticeably faster and smoother. Lube appeared to be the same, so I'm guessing all of them use the same stuff.

For the most part, ABEC ratings are useless when it comes to use in skateboard wheels. But for some vendors--Biltin, for example--you can notice a difference between the various bearings of different ratings.
