    well, at the moment I don't use protection, so I was asking if it works, and if it affects the ride at all. . . .

    Combine a nice double sealed bearing with grind king rimz and you rarely have to clean your bearings.

    They work great. I try to use them on every set up.

    They have a built in speed ring so you dont need one between the rimz and the bearing. They do work well with builtin bearings and original trucks which both have built in rings as well.

    The rimz look sweet to and come in different styles and colors to match your wheels, deck or whatever. And they come with the coolest sticker.

    Do a search for my nic protos with rimz. A very sweet and fast combo,
    along with some bones swiss on my swift 40. Just flipped the hangars.
    Fast, low , carvy , stable pushable pumpable flyer.
