    Yes I agree.

Thanks for posting that link Mark.

I like what PVD had to say about bearings, very interesting.

Anybody tried the oust's? I know about bones and builtins.

Mark he talked about facing the hangers in there, is that the same thing you're talking about with your new tool more or less?

And would you maybe consider offering presicion .400" and .300" spacers (I believe you mentioned this idea at one time - faced hangers would make the extra precision worth the $) to go along with faced hangars (and I may be dreaming here) 8mm axles.

You could prolly still sell the whole set of modified mhs trucks for less than a set of pvd's. There would be some at sf who want them just for the braging rights ......but um I'd want em for the incredible performance advantage that they would be sure to provide.

    {for give me i think i was typing in my sleep, i ll delete this in the morn jg}

Come on SilverSurfer!!! Jeez! What happened to all the bearing wars where tyler87 and roastbeef and herbn were testing them. Tyler raved over oust and you were always convinced that Rockin' Rons was the best.

    FLASHBACK

oh yeah....that's right.....I'm liking my bones swiss these days.....
and even the builtin's are starting to grow on me.....

But I never tried those oust's and I was sort of wonderin if any body besides tyler and beef have tried them.

You shoulda seen the bearing flame wars between hugh r and arab on ncdsa a few years ago (or more ). Hugh was championing pleasure tool and Arab represented oust. It was a bearing joust to the death.
In the end Arab was banned from ncdsa for unknown reasons ::cough::being a troll::cough....

well that's our old school tale of the night, now get some sleep kiddies.

The precision spacer thing fell through. Stopped getting updates, so I basically let it go.

Besides, it's questionable how many people would pay $15 for a set of spacers. Sure, some of the 'fishers would, but for it to be cost effective, there'd need to be a whole lot more out there willing to pony up the dough.

I need precision spacers! Don't know of any machinists locally, so I'm searching the internet. Anyone else interested in getting down on some? I'd pay good money for 2 or 3 sets. Anyone got info on precision spacers?

I have a set of the precision spacers cost me $3 per spacer. Right now the supplier is very busy with life so don't hold you breath on another run.

Thats seems to be quite common in the skate industry.

There was some talk about a batch of precion spacers on www.ncdsa.com

I'm not sure what the details are, but I'd be down for a set or two.

Well I skate with the guy who had them made. He sold them all and might get some made in the future.

Yeah, I emailed the guy from NCDSA and he told me they were successful but getting something small like that done by a machinst is fairly expensive. He had to charge $3 a spacer, or $12 for a set, and he said he wish he could make it cheaper for the buyer. Anyway, he told me he'd email me with any news of another run.

Those Oust spacers look alright... its good to know they got the measurments right, but they're still made of aluminum which don't hold up too well. I may have to resort to modifying some Biltins for the time being.

Hmm... I should see if the shop teacher in our school feels like making some... or I'll check with Herb...

Doubt Herb will feel like making them, but I might be able to convince the shop teacher...
