Back in the late seventies the quicksilver was my dream board.

    I never got one though.

Now for the low price of $900 I can finally live out my childhood dream.

    Well I could if I had $900.

And yeah those yo yo's are sweet.

The new ones are nothing like the original's.

    Same name, that's it.

Those must be ultra rare Yo Yo's. I can't remember them. I had a couple sets of them in the day and while they had a huge radius they weren't completely round like that. The new ones look exactly like my old ones. I had a set of yellow ones and a set of red ones.

I'd sure like a little more info on them. I had a Quicksilver ordered from Val Surf when they first came out but it was always backordered. I finally gave up on it. Then by the time you could get one pretty easily I was into more of the wider pool boards so I never ordered one again. Wish I had.

My local skate shop "the board room" has a collection of vintage skateboards decorating the walls of the shop. They have some real old solid wood boards, like a logan earth ski and the early laminated ply decks, a sims I think.

And they have a quicksilver. The board of my early skateboard dreams.
Looks a little smaller than I remembered. All the old boards seem small, except some of the big pig pool boards.

I dunno if Jason and Jack know the value of that quicksilver or not.

I'd be willing to buy it for say $100 to $150. But I can't justify $900 or even $500 for a used board. Even if it's museam quality. Now I might spend that (if I had it) on a new high tech super set up with all the latest and greatest gear. But even an uber set up like that should be a little under 900. Well unless you get a carbon fiber evo, PVD trucks, NiNjA ceramix and 97mm flys. That run you into the 4 digit figures real fast.

Hmmmm.....That WOULD be a nice set up.......

I wanted a set of those rollerballs really bad when they came out ... they looked so cool in the magazines.... I remember an ad for them and the
G & S speed sparks.. which were metal spring like things that attached to your kingpin and would drag what appeared to be giant cigarette lighter flints on the pavement behind you -- shooting up a roostertail of sparks... very silly, but kinda cool

btw .. those reissue YoYo's are amazing for ramps and masonite etc ... nice and fast and grip really well...

My hopes and dreams were dashed, y'know like when you pay top dollar for a hot Malasian hooker that you wine and dine and take back to your hotel room only to find out that she has external junk

Rollerballs! Yeah now I do remember those. When I saw them listed as Yo Yo's I couldn't place them.

In any case 900 bucks is a bit too crazy for me. Especially considering there's some "slight scratches on the board.

Those wheels sucked, to put it bluntly.

The trucks are most likely Variflex, and they're bushing-based.

Yep. Those are Variflex trucks. I had some that came on a complete. They sucked. Bushing based.
