    Default which wheels and bearings?

How's it going? I'm pretty much a newbie. I have a sector 9 deck with the Original S8 trucks. I'm looking for some new wheels and bearings to replace my sector 9 wheels that came with the board. The wheel's will pretty much be used just to pump. I don't do very much sliding. Any suggestions? and if someone could refresh my memory on what the differences in 78a vs. 90a etc...that would be great.

Good wheels for pumping.. Although they aren't out yet take a look at this thread.
    http://www.silverfishlongboarding.co...ic.php?t=19833

Other than that, although im not much of a pumper myself, i believe some 3dm avalon or avilas would be a good bet. Possibly in a low to mid 80 duro.

When people talk about durometers or duros that's the a in 90a. Durometer is the general hardness of the wheel. 70a would be considered exceedingly soft where as 99 is the hardest you can technically get. I believe above 99, it's either hype or it's just maybe it is actually harder. some of the gurus here should provide more input, that or instructions to use the SEARCH function despite the fact that it is rather impossible to use effectively and quickly. but use it anyway, it's fun, it teaches you better google sk1llz. maybe.

oh yea, bearings, generally, bones reds, minilogo if you're on a budget, builtins are also highly reccomended as they come with builtin spacers and speedrings (as i recall my s9 did not have spacers or speedrings). Rockn' rons bearings both steel and ceramic are also popular here.

I would reccomend the builtins assuming your current situation.

Order from us and we'll press 'em in.

78a is a very versatile duro. Good grip, good wear, and can be slid for safety. Which wheel/model were you considering?

well i definatley want to use the bearings you suggested and I'm honestly not too sure on which wheels. Maybe something around 78a. If I were to order from your websight, would I order the wheels and bearings and then have yall put them together for me before yall ship them out?

i would recommend biltins(as others have said) with 74/80 avalons for your originals if you like to pump. when the wheels start to cone, you will get better grip.

Yeah, what he said. Our absolute best-selling wheel is the 78a Flashback, with the Powerball gaining popularity all the time.

i would recommend powerballs or strikers by abec 11. the 77mm stirkers in 81a are simply amazing. they are fast, good if you need a saftey slide, absorb bumps and grip well

    For pumping?

I'd say grippins, hot spots or zig zags.

78a should be a good duro.

    Original's are great for pumping.

It's not hard to put bearings into wheels, unless they are super hard
    wheels.

    For more good info on pumping check out these links;

    I hope that helps.

    Pumping is fun.

SilverSurfer, how are you reccomending a product that doesn't exist, yet?

Size is the diameter in millimeters. Taller wheels have more top-end speed, but accelerate more slowly. Clearance between the board and wheel can sometimes be an issue with bigger wheels.

Well he said pumping, and according to chaputs description that is the forte of the yet to be released zig zags. I want a set myself.

If he can't wait for those I think grippins or hot spots would be excellent choices.

But really, magic is the real answer.

I was hoping you would use your magical influence on chris to get these wheels and some ceramic buitins in production by the first quarter of 2006. You can do it, I have faith in you E!

While your at it work on those liquid trucks too.
