    Default wider is better?

Looking for some new wheels, as the first set of wheels were kinda just bought because they were there. Ha.

Wanted to see if, for general cruising/carving, wider wheels are actually any better as far as grip goes.

I'm not into sliding and all that. Just into smoothe sailing.

Thanks for the help. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Bigger, wider contact patch=more grip, hold momentum longer, harder to get going however, but once you do, it's smooth sailing.

I like big wheels for cruising, like Availa's or Grippins.

    Default Smooth you say?

If you want nice, smooth wheel with great traction, it's hard to beat a soft Gumball (75a, 78a). Only the 97mm Flywheel has more depth of urethane.
