..when you are finally our age RB..then you bring a cooler everywhere. Just ask Mac from Mile High Rollers. The cooler is the first thing loaded into his SUV. Then the boards, tool box, first aid kit, helmet's..etc.
But we dont freeze or keep the wheels on ice..thats a waste of space. 3 Grippins=1 can of Bud Light.

Works wonders on their yellow wheels. So much more control.

    I.... don't think it did.

Your wheels would unfreeze in an hour.

Also as someone who lives in a cold climate, most urethane feels like crud in cold weather.

I'm gonna try this. Nothing to lose.
I'm gonna get 3 sets of Pink Powerballs in 78a. One set will sit in the freezer for x amount of time (don't know yet).
One set will sit in the sun for x amount of time.
And the last set will sit in my closet, this set being the control.
Once they are ready, I'll ride all three sets in one session. If I follow through, this will happen in a month and a half probably.
Hopefully I remember and post back here.
P.S., I will break in each set with a few slides before they go into their respective treatment facilities.

Yeah, this thread was Ryan Sheckler's fault.

He said on an episode of 'Cribs' (back in 05 or 06) that he freezes his wheels before skating, because it increases the slide. This question was bandied about quite a few other skate forums at the time. I'm glad it's a myth that has been mostly eradicated from the lore of the skateboard.
yes, an uber-grippy, square-lipped slalom wheel IS the best for sliding
