Candies or Cannibals
Im getting new wheels Monday and i've decided on Nersh Candies or Venom Cannibals. Which ones are the best for freeride and downhill. I want a smooth slide that doesnt shed too much speed. Basically I want a really good all around wheel. Im gonna get 78a Cannibals or 76a/78a Candies.
Oh yeah and I have really poopy cheesegrater pavement on most good runs that a lot of wheels cant handle without vibrating my whole body, these wheels must slay those gnar mountain trails
In summary I want a fast, smooth sliding, pavement slaying, all around radical wheel
Thanks!
P.S I SEARCHED and read through the Nersh and Cannibals threads. Too much awesome radiates off of both wheels to decide

Re: Candies or Cannibals
As Much as I love my 78a candies, the cannibals have a much more orgasmic slide. My vote is cannibals.

Re: Candies or Cannibals
May I suggest 78a divine touch's? They roll unbelievably smooth and are one of the fastest wheels on the market. They slide very well, and I use them on my topmount and also for
freeride on my double drop.

Re: Candies or Cannibals
For the record, I've ridden my friends cannibals which seem to shed a bit more speed during slides, and they tend to have a more defined grip/slide transition. I still like my divines, and they last forever. You can't go wrong with any of these wheels though... Have fun with whatever you get!

Re: Candies or Cannibals
I hear so many people saying that cannibals 78a have a buttery slide but i got mine missprinted 78a and they are very chattery, veery far from a smooth slide. I hope they get better one day

what/however you're doing it is user error these wheels slide like butter and as soon as the mold release is gone (2-3 slide) should be damn near silent.

Re: Candies or Cannibals
I couldn't decide between candies and cannibals as well. Their reviews are both great so I ended up flipping a coin. Now i'm riding cannibals :P

I've been riding them for 1 week and sliding them and they are not silent and have not a butter slide, I dont think the problem is me because 5 of my friends used them and said their slide sucked. Some people said that missprinted wheels just had their graphic saying they were 80a but it was 78a, do you know anything about that?

I have misprint whites as well, they are in fact 78a as long as they are white. First off, make sure you're running spacers. My problem was that there was a lot of play between the axle of the inner races of my bearings and the randal axles which was causing the slide to feel like crap, when I got my calibers, there was almost no play in the axle and my cannibals are now super buttery and fun. Hope this helps.

Re: Candies or Cannibals
If you're riding rough roads, 78a Cannibals all the way. The larger core of Candies makes the ride harsher for their duro. After duro, deeper thane depth really makes a difference on rougher roads as well as slight flex in the deck. I have two setups and frequently there's 78a Cannibals on one and 76a Candies on the other.

There's no play on the wheels, I'm using them on surf rodz and 10mm spacers, everything is tight. Anyway, thanks for the tip.

If you want them to be buttery and don't care about losing grip, you can always bevel the edges and that should help.

That's an option but I wonder why mine can't ride like everybody say, it would be better than make changes on it.

Then go faster and it will all smooth out? Not sure what the real problem is, but they ARE gripper wheels, that still open up and slide once the edges are worked. Keep riding them and see . . . and GO FASTER!
