    yeah wd40 has some scary fumes...makes everyone in my apartment a little loopy when i do use it.

    a good page for cleaning bearings how to...also with a good pretty cheap cleaning kit for sale. and of course pleasure tools too

    After removing the shields I like to put the bearings on a toothpick between two cocktail onions. I then drop the toothpick in a big martini glass which I fill with ice cold gin. I swirl the toothpick around in the glass a few times and then drink the gin. Sometimes I need to refill the glass a few times to get the bearings fully clean. When I'm convinced that they're clean I eat one of the onions, drop the bearings onto a clean/dry bath towel, eat the other onion, and then ...
    I find the higher proof/better/dry gins work best for this process, and I don't use vermouth.

    Yeah, and it gums up the retainers. Straight T10 for me.
