    Default Melted wheels...:(

I had to replace my bones reds a couple of days ago, and I had no money, so I used some extra bearing I had that spun a tiny bit better. Anyways, apprently one of these stopped spinning while I was boarding, it just started spinning on the axle itself and created so much heat that it melted the core of my krypto hawaii. Luckily I just bought some new wheels before it happened, abec-11 flashbacks-88a, and those are really nice. Perfect for sliding and carving both! Anyways, just wanted to relay my sad story and give the flashbacks some feedback!

Oh my word I have never heard of that happening before. That sucks man. Someone must have thrown a stick into your spokes for the bearing to stop like that. Crazyness.

Bearings are cheap, replace them often! If not, clean monthly.

If you ever fall off the Sears Tower, just go real limp, because maybe you\'ll look like a dummy and people will try to catch you because, hey, free dummy.

But, I still like my Swiss. I haven't cleaned them in 6 months, and they still out-cruise my son's Reds. Or, maybe it's because I've got 40# in dead weight on him?

    Default bearings

i know thisn't a red related post, but i recently bought soem pleasure tool bearings. very fast and easy to clean, plus at the price they are sold for, you can buy two sets of them for the same price as reds. they also are shipped very quick. it only takes two days for me to get them.

I will second the two thumbs up on Pleasure tool bearings. Still riding my sealed 7's after two months of landsailing and hard carving. Still going strong. Awesome bearings, awesome price.

I've used Reds almost exclusively until I stuck in a set of Bones Swiss. It's like going from Pinto to Porsche. Only one of my boards has the Swiss but eventually as my other Reds wear out I'll replace them with Swiss.
