    Default Orangatang Moranga

Has anyone tested the prototypes of these wheels?

    Are they any good?

I have NOT ridden the wheels yet, but I am personally going to start with a fresh look for these.

I understand their track record, unbearable prices, and undesirable thane (to a certain extent.) But when it comes down to the wire, you can't bring in old "mistakes" and flood new water.
Will the Moronga be over-priced, and still lacking in thane competetion, only to be praised by paid riders, or clueless fanboys? Probably. Should riders give them a chance to produce a wheel that fiercely competes on the high-end wheel market? Absolutely.

From chit-chat, and following blogs/pages/picture releases, I'm hearing a lot of good about this wheel so far. But I don't care how well someone talks about a new release. Everybody, and their dog seems to claim that a wheel is "buttery" now-a-days.
I want to hear an unbiased, COMPARISON as to how this wheel stands up against other wheels that are probably cheaper, and possibly better. Because who wants to hear about a 12y/o talk to his camera about how good his otangs are, when he has never ridden any other wheel?

It's basicly a balut with urathane around the core so it won't pop out. So if you liked the baluts you will like these if you hated the baluts more then likley you will hate these.

I was thinking the same thing, they are supposed to be pretty much exactly like the baluts but with a better core and some more improvements. Just wondering what other people were thinking they would be like.

The Balluts Euphorethane is dope for sliding, in contrast to the Happy-Thane...
But I'm probably just another clueless fanboy or I need to ask them for payment.

    To OP:
The wheels are called Moronga and there are already threads for it:

Lol, From what I've heard too this is true, but nobody knows how the wheel will react, now that it isn't poured in a thin line around the core. Cores, and thane depth affect ride performance too, so just saying that a general part of a chemistry will be good no matter what, is not always a fair statement.
I guess I'm just referring to Euphorethane vs other tried & true formulas, and how they stand up with price vs performance. Baluts weren't on the market for super long time. So we haven't seen enough feedback on the niche they hold in the market of comparison.

im 120 and 80a stims are smooth and leave lots of thane but they also sound like a walrus having sex most of the time even with zealous beairngs. They are OK wheels but not worth the $70

Canada where everything cost so much. Stims are $68 + 12% tax = $76. No one here buys otangs because who will spend that much for mediocre wheels.

They are a solid $20+ more than most abec 11 wheels

Ya they were a lil loud but i can get over that, altho id never buy em. Stick with tweakers, rainskates mega ts, and cult classics. And others but those r my faves. Back to the morongas tho, pretty cool, seem like they might be the first otang slide wheels id consider
