Which duro for 72mm on Buttons?
I believe I am decided on ordering the Buttons with a wheel size of 72mm.
I would like to get soft wheels.
Which duro should I get?
By looking around here, I've got the consensus that 78a is a good compromise?
On the gravity site the choices are 74a, 78a, 80a and 82a for the soft set.
Thanks for the help! :]

Re: Which duro for 72mm on Buttons?
For general cruising I would get 75 or 78... 78 is still pretty soft but is solid enough that you can get some pretty nice speed. If you want a bit more grip 75 would work better, wouldnt go much softer.
On my speedboard I run 80a and it is not rock solid but doesnt have much noticable compression when I squeeze it, I really like it. Much faster and grips nicely on smooth conrete with minimal drifting on the rougher stuff... Probably a bit to hard for cruising though...
75a is probably the most versatile and the likelihood of sliding out will be much lower then 78a on tight turns or carves.

78 has never failed me before.

For most wheels 78 is probably perfect just saying if you will be doing intense carving you may want the stick of 75a.
I used to ride 78 all the time, works fine... But anything over that is a bit sketchy for carving....

On the other hand, I just picked up some 81a Abec11 Grippins, and I feel they grip harder than my 78a Nineballs.

Wheel design has a big effect on the wheel, bet those grippins are fast at 81a!

The difference between 74a and 75a isn't that noticeable is it? Because I will be ordering it from the gravity website, and the have no 75a option.
Also:
How fast will the wheels wear for the 74a vs the 78a?
Thank you all for your help so far! :]

74a and 75a are nearly the same... Wear from regular riding shouldnt be an issue at all, sliding is a different story.
78a may be slightly faster, 74a will be grippier and a bit smoother of a ride.

Haha, okay, lets go at it like this:
Which one would be best for human slalom, campus cruising and carving?

Human slalom? Take it that means HARD carving? 74a or maybe softer... I dont know about slalom but SOME 78a wheels (as said some wheel shapes naturally grip better) could slide out with a very hard carve...
But for general cruising and carving 78a is fine..

Re: Which duro for 72mm on Buttons?
The Gravity wheels feel a little slow, so for getting around campus, I'd go the highest duro possible without making the ride uncomfortable. I had the street-G's in 78a, and those felt really soft. If I were to buy Gravity wheels again, I probably would get 80a, and I mostly ride on asphalt. The Gravity wheels aren't the grippiest wheels either, but they drift really, really nicely, so carving hard isn't a problem as long as you're ok with drifting a little.
