    Default Wheels for supercharger

Ive searched all around the forum and found some really good setups for superchargers but couldnt really find an answer to my question. My quesion is what are the biggest wheels i can run on a supercharger with both indy 219s and randall 180s without getting wheelbite? I hate wheelbite because i like to go fast and carve hard and i want to eliminate wheel bite all together but i want some big grippy wheels like gumballs or s9 GOS to roll over everything and grip good. So you guys with some supercharger experience give me some insight. Thanks.

The Indys will be a different height than the Randals, which will affect how large a wheel you can run. Also, how loose will the trucks be?

If you look at the completes on my site, you'll get an idea of optimum wheel size for that deck.

Yeah i like my trucks pretty loose, i like to carve really hard. I noticed you sell a supercharger with r 180s and powerballs. Can you get wheelbite with that setup if you loosen the trucks and crank some hard carves? I already have some powerballs and im thinking of getting another set, so far powerballs are my favorite all around wheel. I know its been said before but ill say it again, i think powerballs are really underated. Also would some GOS or gumballs be ok? Im thinking of maybe saving some cash and getting some GOS wheels instead of another set of powerballs. Thanks Mark.

You could theoretically get wheelbite with the Powerballs and Randals. Chances are, however, it would be at very low speeds, so the results wouldn't be as bad as someone racing slalom at 20+ mph. I spec that complete with two, 1/8" risers (stacked), BTW. If you want to bump up to GOS/Hawgs/Gumballs, you'd need to add some more riser.

Indy 215s with 1/2" risers work really well with 70-72mm wheels on that board. Nice and low, and because of the wedged nose, still quite turny. If you run our hybrid trucks (read, "Frankentrucks), it turns even better.

Yeah i am looking at getting a supercharger off your site Mark within the next week or two and i already have a set of r 180s but i was thinking of getting some conventional trucks like the indys when i purchase the board maybe. I looked on your site and i cant find the franken trucks anymore, i saw them up there a while back but not anymore. I dont like jacking up the height of my boards with a lot of riser to keep pushing comfy for me so i will probably stick with wheels around the 70-72 mm range. How do the 70 mm earthwing superballs perform, especially compared to the powerballs?

I'm assembling more Frankentrucks this weekend.

The Superballs have tons of rebound, and don't feel as "stiff" as Powerballs. They're also center-set, so you can flip them for more even/longer wear. The Superballs are like a properly-made Krypto--bouncy, fun, and grippy.

Thanks mark. Ill keep a look out for the frankentrucks. Ill probably place an order in the next week or two. Ill probably just pick up the deck and the trucks and play around with some wheels ive got lying around like some powerballs, flashbacks, 70mm zigs and some gravity 72mm super gs, im really looking for some thing that grips when i want and slides when i need to in saftey situations and drifting. I need some thing fast and predictable but still grippy. A lot like a powerball i guess. those superballs sound like they are worth giving a try though. If i get the superballs then i might as well just buy a complete from you... decisions decisions.
