What Duro For Flashbacks?

Allrighty guys, so i've settled on my decisions on geting some flashbacks. this will be going on my class29. its for college, simple cruising, i don't really ever expect to slide with it.

now i'm not sure what duro to get. i don't want to go too low, because i'm afraid of chunkage in the future. so i was thinking something like 81a? maybe 84? would going any higher be pointless?

i'm just tryin to figure it all out guys. if you could point me in the right direction on which duro to get. i'd definetly appreciate it. i have to make a decision by tommarow afternoon so that i can have it in the mail over the weekend.

i just got 88a noskools for my campus cruiser clear29. idont reccomend going any harder than 88 because then youll be sacrificing comfort. 84 sounds like a good number.

I have 78a on my main board at the moment, and have been riding them almost daily for 6 months, with very little wear. For refference, I began chunking 77a pink gumballs in half the time on a different board. THe flashbacks appear to wear very well. However, when i need to get new ones i'll probably go for the 81a, that seems to be the magic duro for a great mix of softness and durability.

how are you liken it? what size risers are you usin?

I have only rode the 78a and the 92a Flashbacks. 92a is far too hard, and don't even go near that hard. The 78a is very grippy and great feeling. You could easily go 81a and get amazing grip, while getting a bit more durability perhaps. I would either go 81 or 78.

i come from shortboarding so i generally prefer harder wheels. i use 53mm ricta i am running the 88a noskoolz on tracker rts/x 149mm with 1/2 inch risers. the wheels are 65mm and are smooth enough even with the relatively harder duro. keep in mind i also have the clear29 which is supposed to have a smoother ride than the classic29.

They will hold well in any duro. I'm a sucker for the 75a. My 72a is the shizzy!

Ive had a set of 81a for over a year and a half. I love um. They ride nice, safety slide easily, and wear GREAT. No chunking no tearing. I love flashbacks, they are a great all around wheel but since they are side set they cone like a mofo. Mine have recently started coning in the past couple of months but so far it hasnt affected the ride at all and im still rocking um. I say go 81a i wouldnt go harder because i think the ride would be rough but i woulnt go softer because they will just start coning sooner. I find that 81a is the sweetspot for flashies.

I run 81a. Very fast and smooth on rough Pocono tar and chip. Best all purpose wheel you can buy.

They sure do. Anyone interested in wheel durability should get a center-set wheel.

I agree. Centerset wheels last a heluva lot longer plus you can flip them to even out the wear.

duro is really not something you can ask other people to tell you the BEST, its just like a board, no one else can tell YOU what the best is for you, you have to figure out your personal comfort and such

on the subject, even though its too late to make a difference, I buy my flashbacks 81a
