    Default Is this normal?

I've had my board for a little over a month and my 75a 70mm Flashbacks are starting to chunk. There's multiple cracks or fracture things you can see on each wheel and on one of them there is a little piece out of it. My question is, is it normal for this to happen? Do I need a higher duro wheel or something? Thanks all.

It depends on what you've been doing in that month.
I've been on the 'fish longer then you.

you prolly do need a higher duro wheel if your expierancing chunking after a month.

    Are your roads expessialy bad?
have you left your board wheels down in the hot sun on soft ashphalt?
    do u slide alot?

I have had some core S#$# wheels break on the edges, but not fracture. Higher quality wheels shouldnt unless you are riding them real aggressivly. Perhaps some 78a would suit you better... Might be a little more "slippery" though so be careful.

My roads aren't really bad, occasionally there is some gravel. I don't slide, pretty much cruising and some mild hills. I pump if that makes any difference. Do I need some non-lipped harder wheels like powerballs? Or does a higher duro make them more likely to chunk?

If you do some pretty hard pumping, that could get 'em to chunk.
Also, if you happen to be pretty heavy, that might make soft wheels wear a bit faster.

can u post pics so we can an idea of how bad it is, My freind has 75a gumballs and there not chuncking, and he does slide them occasionally, I'm pretty sure the gumballs is a similar wheel to the flash back so that is kinda wierd, I could be wrong though.

Many of us have had the lower duros of flashbacks kind of chunk a bit with use. But they're still such great wheels that we never let it bother us much.

Try going with the 78a or 81a for your next set... 75 is mighty soft and softer urethane gets, the more prone it is to tearing and stuff... that's pretty much the reason the 72a Flashies aren't around anymore......

My 78a's have a small gash in them (hehehe). But seriously, they're fine besides that. I thought that piece was going to fall off, but it hasn't so far. I've had them for three years now. So ride these wheels until they die. Hopefully they'll last longer than you think. Then see how harder ones compare.

i had a set of sector 9 70mm 75a wheels that got messed up pretty wuickly. the streets around new orleans are terrible. theres gravel and cracks and glass and it destroyed my wheels. my friend has some 78a wheels that he's had for a bit longer and they have no chunks or splits. i would go with 78 or so, it seems to make a pretty big difference with chunking.
