    Default 75mm BigZigs

    A couple dozen will be poured tomorrow, and trimmed on Wednesday. The problem is that Richy Carrasco and Jason Mitchell are leaving for Paris on Tuesday. When is Barker leaving? France by way of Colorado? Hmmm. What a shame not to have these at the Paris and Hannover races...

    These are the widest wheel that we make and replace the limited edition Reflex formula Gumballs that temporarily served as a GS wheel. For those of you keeping score at home, we now have 3 different sized Reflex formula ZigZags in an average of 4 durometers each.

    66mm = Tight Slalom
    70mm = Hybrid Slalom
    75mm = Giant Slalom

    77a = Pink
    80a = Lime
    83a = Lemon
    86a = Orange
    89a = Orange Plus (darker)

    The 66mm wheel doesn't come in Pink, and the 75mm wheel doesn't come in Orange or Orange Plus.

    With any luck, we should be able to ship these to shops and distributors next week.

    So this new wheel is the "replacement" for the "Pink Gumball," correct?

    Hey Chaput, were these the ones you were first supposed to send to my place for Kevin for DB?
    (If yes, let me know how much they cost through PM... depending on my bank account... I'd be happy to get a set too)

    That's why I'm asking... I was supposed to receive some BigZags from Chaput to give to Kevin for the race... It seems like it is the description I got of the wheels... It's just the name that changes... they are still "BigZigs" or maybe Chaput just mistook the name

    Exact same shape as a 66 or 70 mm zig zag, but 75 mm and wider than the gumball (reflex or otherwise)

    Did anyone say the "pink gumball" of 2007? I'm sure they will be awesome, and I already want a set of limes after riding my 70mm for some days now. But the buzz around these wheels will go through the roof
    I hate signatures, so i turned them off

    That's one way to look at it. We never printed the word "Gumball" on the wheel, but there was a bubble gum splatter graphic when it held the Pink brand name, and everyone just called it a Pink Gumball. It then temporarily joined the Retro brand along with the other 76mm "Limited Edition" Reflex formula wheels (Lime and Lemon) and had the BigZigs graphic on it. I knew that the we'd only make those wheels until testing was done and the molds for the "real" BigZigs were finished, so we didn't release the Limes and Lemons to shops. We allowed Downhill and Slalom guys to buy them and race them until they were discontinued.

    Now we have the real 75mm BigZigs in the Reflex formula, and they will be made available to everyone in Pink, Lime, and Lemon.

    I'm just now receiveing a huge production run of the Biltins, and I hope that by the time that we've sold out of those, the next generation of Biltins will be ready. There is a third generation already in the works that will blow minds. It's a simple idea but tricky to manufacture, but the second gens will still be a welcomed improvement over the first.

    I'm not sure what you're after here. The second gen Flywheels are the ones that we are currently running. Maybe you're asking about the first gen Flywheels? Or the gen 2 Flywheels using the Reflex formula urethane?
